Position at the table — whether you act early or late in the betting sequence — matters enormously. Players who act later have more information about what their opponents are doing before they have to commit chips, which is a significant strategic advantage that compounds over thousands of hands.
BJ Game's Hold'em tables range from the very small (Rs 5/10 blinds, minimum buy-in Rs 200) right up to high-roller tables with Rs 200/400 blinds and five-figure buy-ins. Once you are comfortable with Hold'em, Omaha is the natural next step for players who want more action and more strategic complexity. The key difference is that each player receives four hole cards instead of two, but — and this is the important rule — you must use exactly two of your hole cards and exactly three community cards to make your hand. You cannot use more or fewer. This constraint, combined with the extra hole cards, dramatically increases the number of possible hand combinations and tends to produce larger pots and more post-flop action than Hold'em of equivalent stakes.
Pot Limit Omaha, which is the variant BJ Game offers, means the maximum bet at any point is the size of the current pot. This prevents the all-in shoves that are common in No Limit Hold'em and generally keeps hands going longer with more betting streets, which experienced players often prefer.
